Description
Based in the heart of Stockport for almost two centuries, and owning around 260 tenanted and managed pubs, inns and hotels across the North West, ‘Robinsons’ is one of oldest and most respected names in British brewing history.
Robinsons took over Hartleys brewery in 1982, closing down the Ulverston plant in 1994 and transferring the Hartley brands to the Unicorn brewery. Robinsons bought the rights to the Ward brands in 2006 but subsequently sold some of those brands to Maxim Beer Co.

Clear chestnut brown with a creamy off-white head and fruit malt and a touch of spice on the nose. Light to medium bodied with berry fruits, earthy hops and rich malt all nicely combined. Has a dry and slightly bitter finish with a spicy edge

Keg @ Castle Hotel, Manchester. Clear golden with a very small head. Bland hoppy taste, its carbonation is most prominent making it a more than usual gaseous intake, although nothing overbearing in this respect.

Carmel smell, not too much on the taste but still a delicious beer.
