Can.Pitch black colour with medium fluffy beige head.Aroma is mild with flavor of licorice and toasted caramel still good strong taste with less alcohol nice surprises overall.

Cask at Swan With Two Necks, Stockport. Pours straw coloured with a medium sized off-white foamy head and good lacing. The aroma is gentle sweetness with floral hops and barley sugar. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture and a little bitterness. Floral hops and some hints of citrus in the flavour. Finish is slightly dry. This is reasonable, but a little bland.

Keg, half-pint in the beer garden of the Wynnstay Arms, Ruabon on 31st August 2024. Almost black bodied, very dark brown, tanned foam on top. Thought this a bit 'thin' and uninteresting. Malty but fairly bland throughout.

Keg half-pint in the beer garden of the Wynnstay Arms, Ruabon on 31st August 2024. Clear, bright golden pour, white crown. Light citrus and floral nose, taste followed the same lines with a slight malty sweetness also. It was the best of the three Robinsons beers I had at the place.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the beer garden of the Wynnstay Arms, Ruabon on 31st August 2024. Clean golden blonde with a snow white head that hung about for a while. It's a weak blend of pale malts and a few hop pellets, not up to much and I couldn't even finish the half-pint!

Bottle from Asda Superstore in Rochester (Kent). Color: Dark ruby, beige head. Aroma: Malty, caramel, raisins. Taste: Dark malt, some chocolate, raisins, dark dried fruit, caramel, brown sugar notes. Typical British Old Ale. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, moderate floral hop bitterness. Dry-ish bittery finish. Nice.

Cask at the Black Horse, Preston. Pours just-clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light tropical fruit and pine. Taste is more of the same. Light bitter finish.
