Cask. Reddish golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, wood and some mild notes of honey. Flavour is much the same along with slight toffeeish&fudgeish sweetness. Refreshing and easy to drink.

[on draught at The Ship Inn, Dolgellau] This disappointed after having had their Top Tipple recently. This is a very average bitter, veering towards the sweet fruity side. Pretty unmemorable fare.

[cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] A very light bitter, pronounced honey flavour, would make a great session beer. Not a classic but I feel I could drink a lot of this. Well balanced.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a golden orange glare. Slowly diminishing tan head. Dense overripe fruity and light alcohol aroma. Light caramel malt underneath and solid overripe fruity flavour and a light alcohol presence. Mildly warming alcohol finish. Lingering fruit into the far finish.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Gold with a thin white head; distinct pear aroma; creamy and fizzy in the mouth in a sherbert sort of way, malty with again some pear flavour; short bitter finish.
