Description
Based in the heart of Stockport for almost two centuries, and owning around 260 tenanted and managed pubs, inns and hotels across the North West, ‘Robinsons’ is one of oldest and most respected names in British brewing history.

Robinsons took over Hartleys brewery in 1982, closing down the Ulverston plant in 1994 and transferring the Hartley brands to the Unicorn brewery. Robinsons bought the rights to the Ward brands in 2006 but subsequently sold some of those brands to Maxim Beer Co.

Cask@GBBF 2007 (backlog). Amber colour with a minor head. Aroma is nutty, caramelly, toffeeish and some slight wooden and mild earthy notes. Flavour is quite similar with nice bitterness to it.

Buena Stout. Long life Iron Maiden!

Color ámbar, destellos dorados. Espuma blanca y abundante de inicio. Aromas a malta, cereal y notas herbales. Sabor sencillo y sin defectos; malta y pan con un final ligeramente amargo.
Una cerveza refrescante y correcta, pero vale más la botella que su interior.

50cl bottle. Pours red-brown, transparent and elegant, with rather fine white foam. Aroma is very traditional with intense earthy hops notes, and malty. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderately bitter, but with some sweetness too. Final instead, is fairly dry.

This stout poured a black colour with a creamy, light brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include dark chocolate, malt, coffee, molasses and a little cardboard. First swig was a quite thin. Flavours of roasted malt, ash, dark toast and brown sugar. Finish is slightly sweet with roasted malty flavours lingering.
