Trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Kräutern, würzig, blumig, so ist auch der Geschmack.

Cloudy orange brown colour (muddy waters), nice frothy tan head (after the gushing stopped), okay lacing. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, cheese, floral, yeast, cooked vegetables. Taste medium sweet, slightly bitter. Medium body, sticky texture, fizzy carbonation, soft sweetbitter finish, yeasty notes.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Lentebock on 23 May 2018 at 14:17 - Score: 5

Bottle shared with dEnk @ his place. Opaque black color, average sized tan head. Smell and taste malts, bitterness, some roast. Too much carbonation. Hmm.

Cloudy amber colour, small bubbly off-white head, disappears quickly, thin layer remains, light lacing. Malty aroma, grain, orange, dough, floral. Taste medium sweet, slightly bitter. Medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, bit spicy on the tongue, dry bittersweet finish.

33cl bottle from ABCbeers. Gushes a little. Thick creamy off white head. Clear black pour. Burnt caramel in the aftertaste. A decent stout

Re-Rated 4/7/2014. Original rating 1.8. I thought i’d give this another try and i’m glad I did. The latest bottle looked and tasted a whole lot better with a malty earthy aroma, a moderate bitter light sweet palate and a hop bitter light caramel palate. I enjoyed this one, which is more than can be said for the last bottle I had, which was clearly infected or perhaps the bottle was not properly sealed. Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a round bubbly white head. Looks like dishwater to be honest. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a watery malt light bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with flat carbonation. Truly awful. I mean truly awful.

33cl Bottle from Slijterij Meijer. Collab brew with De Bierderie. And it shows, as this is just a lower ABV version of De Bierderie’s Sprout imho. Black colour, beige head. Lots of foam. Aroma of oats, veggies, chocolate, liquorice, hard-roasted malts. Flavour is medium-sweet, chocolate, cocoa, hard-roasted malts, burnt liquorice, light ashy, bittersweet finish. Medium-bodied, lots of carbonation, over-carbonated in fact, detracting from the drinkability. OK, but no more.

33cl Bottle from Slijterij Meijer. Guess what, it’s a gusher.. Haven’t had this many gushers from a single brewery since I stopped drinking Alvinne beers. Brown colour, beige head. Aroma of dead yeast, plastic, veggies, caramel, hint of chocolate. Flavour follows, light-bitter finish. Light-bodied, fizzy, amateuristic brew.
