Originally rated August 2005. This french malt liquor pours a golden-amber colour with a light creamy head that dissipates quick enough. The scent is not too strong, with some grain malt and mild honey. The alcohol is definitely felt in the taste. Not much aftertaste. Bitter finish. Gets smoother as you drink it. Still prefer the Mongoose as my favorite malt liquor.

A pale blonde golden lager with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice champagne like attack, very fruity, white wine notes, light acidity, very nice. In mouth, a nice crisp malt with light fruity esters, mineral notes, surprising. Tasted Dec. 25 2011. Bottle from Steve Gamble, 2 years old...maybe the champagne yeasts continued chomping on....

Canette 500ml.

I’m fairly certain this has an alias, but I added it under this name for anyone else who’s confused about the Abbaye St. San. This one tastes alright - no winner, especially among other beers with the abbaye moniker. Smells a little of honey, taste a little sweet, wild hops. Found it in a Jumbo supermarket in Santiago.

Canette 500ml.

Can. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and a bit of cardboard. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and vitamins, leading to a dry finish.
