33 cl can. Pitch black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with coffee, chocolate, liquorice, toasted bread and herbal hoppy notes. The taste is light bitter. Full body. Drying, roasted finish with lingering dark malts. Nice Porter

Panda at home, thanks to Mark the Bearded Avenger, 21/12/2025.
Pitch black with a fast escaping tan head.
Nose is decadent chocolate, vanilla, molasses, brown sugar melt, caramel.
Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, faint liquorice, spice, dark malts, chocolate melt, bourbon barrel tones, figs, fruit cake mix.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rip of alcohol.
Solid sipper.

Can from me bossman. Inky. Foamy tan head is relatively short lasting. Aroma is led by sweet whisky and booze over espresso and molasses with a hint of liqourice. Flavourwise the barrel again leads the way over espresso and liqourice bitterness. Malts and molasses. But unlike the rum version the whiskey seems to dominate. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Good warming stuff but I prefer the Rum one.

Gift from my manager. Glossy and stygian. Foamy tan head. Aroma has rich mocha, molasses and rum sweetness, but the latter is more complementary than anything else. Initial bitterness - espresso and liqourice, followed by creamy mocha and nuts. A boozy edge witb hints of berries and sweetness. Medium bodied. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. One that will definitely keep you warm in a Baltic winter but not too feral.

Tap at BPBW 2025. Murky borwn body, off-white head. Caramelly, huge aroma, solid maltiness. Dry, oxidized taste, heavy caramelly malt, but lean, bitterish in the finish. Dunno, didn't impress me much I'm afraid.

Tap at BPBW, day 2. Black body, off-white head. Heaps of vcoffee in the aroma, some dark malts, chocolate. Dark malte are there, but coffee dominates them in turn, while the backbone is smooth and soft. Quite likable!

Tap at BPBW 2025. Dark brown-black body, off-white head. Vanilla and light chocolate notes in the aroma. Vanilla drives the taste as well, which is dark-malt driven itself, bit dry, roasty and oily. Solid enough, liked some other variations slightly more.

Tap at BPBW 2025, day 1. Dark brown body, lasting off-whtie head. Dried fruit more than coffee in the somewhat oxidized aroma. Cofee dominates the dry taste, some raisins, well hidden alcohol. Quite nice, but light pepper started showing - out of prime I'd say.

Tap at BPBW'19, Saturday session. I only took numerical notes while having this one.
