Looks just like an IPA should, gold body with lasting white head. Light hoppy aroma, tending citrus. Hoppy fruit and spice taste with lasting end of tongue finish.

Bright gold. Thick head. Big grassy nose with some weedy limonene, linalool influences. Medium sweetness, fairly sweet, moderate bitterness. Good.

Medium brown, medium head, toasty, medium bitterness, okay, more on the cocoa powder, off-dry mode, estery, which is not my preferred.

First review of the vintage! At Stuft as part of a sampler with Blind Pig and Velvet Glow. $20 so will only have one and get it elsewhere - but my first of the year. Nectarine and tangerine dominate the aroma, with moderate fusel aromatics. Clear light gold with fluffy white head that dissipates. Flavor also leans early into the same fruit, before quickly switching a grass and onion in the finish. Last year was superb and I’ll feel like this misses the mark a bit comparatively. If I’d had about 16 vintages, this may be a bottom 2 or so. Still nice to have!!

Bottled 02/09/2024. Glowing golden with a thin fizzy white head. Sour (but not puckering), lightly citrus, oak, a bit of funk, and some tannins. The funk and oak linger in the dry finish. I guess I was expecting a bit more complexity or depth but it remains a very nice beer.

Orange with a white head. Dank pine, sweet caramel malts, floral notes, citrus underneath. Medium full bodied. Finish has loads of pine with a lightly sweet floral note. Yea, this thing rocks.

375 ml bottle purchased at Toronado in San Francisco, California shared at a tasting. The pour is a clear gold with no head at all. The aroma is funk, wood barrel, soft lemon citrus and a hint of acidity. The taste is acidic funk, sour tart citrus and wood to the dry finish. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and lingering tartness and drying wood. Hadn’t had a Russian River sour in awhile, so good.

Backlog November 2009. Almost clear reddish golden body under a small off-white head. Aroma is acidic with oak, barnyard and funk. Taste has a nice and well made combination of malt, acidic berries, oak, caramel and funk with an alcoholic touch. Medium body with a pleasant, long lasting aftertaste. Well made and balanced.
