Bright and pale, bubbly head. Weird mix of hops but of course the citra onion jumps out. Medium bitterness. Clean pale base. Typical RR structure. But lack of hop coherence.

Tell me a story besides “we wasted rare hops by burying them under citra" because that story is old and it sucks.

The lone 2021 vintage, 510mL bottle, drunk May 4, 2026.
Good, not overly strong pop of the cork and plentiful carbonation.
As with the other fruit beers in the series, there is intense, robust fruit with plenty of acidity to it, making you think this is going to be a pretty intensely sour beer. Soft funk in the background with an extremely bright expression of the fruit.
And as with the other fruit beers in the series, it's tart at best, with gentle, playful Brett and mild-to-moderate blackberry acidity never being close to problematic. Chewy barrel tannin and deep malts more than balance and the result, like the others in the series, is an incredibly drinkable "sour" beer that isn't sour. Pleasingly balanced with very gentle funk on the edges and a wonderful, bright fruit expression.

2021 vintage, 510mL bottled Feb 4, 2022, drunk Apr 29, 2026.
Kind of hate these bottles; the long thin neck makes it very difficult to pour without glugging/backpouring, which stirs up sediment. Despite trying hard, I failed and there is some sediment in my pour.
Smells rich and fruity with leathery, tart peach, moderate Brett, lacto and some nice oak. Like the apricot beer, it smells like it could be extremely acidic in the mouth.
And just like the apricot beer, it isn't whatsoever. Peachy-fruity-leathery-juicy. Just a real complex yet authentic essence of peach flavor here. About as good as any fruit treatment I've ever had. Tart Brett, very mild lactic and some oak for complexity/strength. Chewy-soft mouthfeel with just enough malt to balance but stays out of the way to let the fruit and cultures shine. Like the apricot beer, ridiculously drinkable stuff. So nice to get an oak-aged, fruited wild ale that has an incredibly balanced acidity. It's a rare thing.

500mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose is full of bright NZ hop tang—gooseberry, white wine tang, some citrus peel—along with plenty of pine and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is super bright, with lots of white wine and gooseberry expression, bitter piney hops, citrus peel, and crisp biscuity malt. Wonderfully bright hop tang and assertive lingering bitterness. Excellent.

500mL bottle. Pours clear golden blonde with a white head. Loads of bright, juicy stonefruit, ripe melon, dank oils, and sweet biscuit malts on the nose. Flavour has loads of ripe, juicy melon, gooseberries, loads of pine, and a nice grassy, bitter punch on the finish. This is excellent, hop expression is clean and punchy.

510ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, snow white head. Piney and citrusy fruity, minimally tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, oaty and slightly wheaty malty background, notes of pineapple, some quince, lemon, dank overtones. Taste is mildly bitter, fruity and piney hoppy, oaty and slightly wheaty malty basis with low residual sweetness, note sof woody pineapple, some quince, lemon, pomegranate, some dank aspects.
Creamy texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Well crafted, relatively dry, not juicy, rather unusual fruit flavours in parts; kind of Hazy West Coast hybrid like many of The Kernel's IPAs - pretty good, flawless, "professional", but not exceptionally exciting.

510mL bottle (the sole 2021 vintage), drunk April 20, 2026.
The other 2021 bottles had a much more robust pop to them than this; barely anything here, though it's not uncarbonated. Nose has a good deal of fruit and lactic acid with a pinch of oak, little Brett, no acetic. The low carbonation doesn't exactly work wonders for the nose, but the fruit character is authentic and rich, nonetheless. A bit concerned about a very high acidity, though.
But no, not remotely so. Lightly buttery oak and mostly Brett belie the staunchly acidic nose. Playful and light with low but not too low (imo) carbonation. Fruity, without an intense fruit character, though the apricot is certainly present and fully lovely. Nothing too earth shattering here, but at 4 years old, it's flavorful, balanced and incredibly drinkable. Maybe a pinch of petrol lingering.
