Thanks bierkoning! Clear deep amber color, good creamy beige head, nice lacing. Light malty-caramel aroma. Medium-bodied. Nice licorice front. Malty with touch of hops and alcohol. Very tasty, a bit sweetish and salty doppelbock.

330ml bottle. Clear dark amber to mahagony colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Unspecific yeasty aroma with malty background, dry, minimally nuttily. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty with a nuttily touch, dry, bitter hoppy overtones, a cautious spicy yeasty touch; oily texture, sticky palate. Has the typical feature of Dutch interpretations of the style, i.e. relatively lively carbonation compared to exemplars of other regional provenance, but not in too strong a way; tasty.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag... aka my "dealer" :-) Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is weak malt/yeast/alcohol. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a nice yeasty, liqourice bitter palate and a fruity light bitter finish. A better than average tripel IMO. Quite inoffensive and very drinkable.

Tap @ Wormer, small sample. Slight hazy amber to brown color, short head. Aroma of caramel malt, slight spicy hop, hint of raisin, slight sulphury yeast. Very much reminding me of a true German Doppelbock. In taste there’s soft sweetness from the caramel malt balanced with some bitterness. Lovely brew, I only had a small sample, but I should try a bigger one because I think this could become better and better while drinking it.
