The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is okay - not much foam. Smells like a pilsner. Tastes very malty and sourish - not more than an average bock!

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Sweet and yeasty wheat-malty aroma, restrained fruity with strong phenols of band-aid, cloves and vanilla. Sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Solid malty, moderately wheaty base with yeasty and lighter fruity notes; moderately dry and sweet wheaty finish with a minimal bitter tartness and well-integrated spicy notes. Decent Weizen (26.02.08).

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized, blond foamy head. Sweet, citrus-fruity and slightly grainy nose with herbal and slightly grassy hoppy notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied with a slightly crispy carbonation. Pale malt character, soft grainy and slightly chalky taste; almost dry, bitter-sweet finish with a good dash of herbal and slightly grassy hops. Quaffable pale Bock (21.02.08).

(33cl bottle, purchased at the brewery) Clear, deep golden colour with a medium-sized, off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly grainy malt aroma, slightly honey-fruity with spicy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malt-accented taste with a soft grainy touch, notes of honey; mild malty, subtle fruity finish with a present herbal, slightly spicy hops character. Solid pale Bock (22.02.08).

(bottle) Clear, light amber colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet cara-malty nose with notes of sour dough and an apple fruity tinge. Slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly cara-malty and subtle fruity taste; dry, malt-accented finish with a moderate herbal hoppy bitterness (17.02.08).

Bottle: Golden coloured, small but rather stable white foamy layer; shy grainy-bready-bisquity nose with a hoppy tinge; robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering bitter-hoppy ("oaky") finish, rounded by atinge of pale malt and some bisquits. Not the most aromatic Bock, but strong and tasty.........

Mäßig würziger Antrunk, süß, malziger Unterton. Im Vordegrund steht hier wie auch im Mittelteil ein Getreideton, der sich mit der Würze verbindet, auch die Malzigkeit wird so etwas hervorgehoben, scheint aber darin ausfzugehen und ist so als eigenständiges Aroma kaum noch zu erkennen. Weiter getreidig, insgesamt milder werdend, hintergründig wie anfangs leicht würzig, im Abgang ist das Malz auch wieder deutlicher erkennbar, süß. Ein eher mildes Bockbier.
