Cask @ Sir Norman Rae, Shipley. Black with a thin off-white creamy head. Has a lovely smooth milky roasted malt character with just about the right sweetness.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, 2/6/2014. Deep gold with a slight, white, head. Aroma of hay, apricot sweetness and a touch of grassy hop. Flavour was malty, with a sweetcorn edge, leading to a decent, bitter finish. Ok, but not up to Elland’s usual standard.

Cask @ The Crown Inn, Hebden Bridge. Copper coloured with a small head. Has a pleasant light grain in its taste with some malty sweetness in its nose.

Cask @ Barge & Barrel, Elland. Golden with a small smooth head. Has a very light and drinkable hoppy character that is slightly dry, but lacks flavour.

Cask gravity at FILO, Hastings, Saturday 3rd May 2014 Looks good, clear gold with just a smattering of bubbles. A little bit of sweetcorn, soft but then with a twangyiness it has a lazy bitterness, its ok but Elland can do much better. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

At the Crown, Bristol, 8/5/2014. Clear and gold in colour with a decent white head. Orange blossoms, some pineapple, pine resin, biscuity malts and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Cask @ Masons Arms, Todmorden. Clear gold with a small head. Hop based with a slightly dry texture. It’s not high on taste or flavours but is a fairly smooth session ale.

Cask at The Percy Shaw, Halifax. Pours clear pale gold, thick white head. Aromas of light citrus and floral hops. Taste brings a caramel sweetness, light bitterness. Finishes bitter. nice.

On cask at Cross Scythes, Norton Lees - Pitch black body with a beige lacing foamy head. Nose is roasted with heavy aromas of freshly ground coffee, espresso and dark chocolate. Taste is roasted, malty with full flavours of strong, black coffee, some chocolate and liquorice. Full body, a bit syrupy. The bitterness comes through in the finish. Gorgeous!!!!
