Description
In 2013 we brewed beer for the first time in our first brewery in the Amsterdam Pijp. We now make award-winning beers, soft drinks and from beer what is left over we distil gin and gin again. We make everything ourselves, as local as possible and completely organic because that is better for our beer and for the planet. Our breweries are located in the most beautiful places in the middle of Amsterdam. Not at all efficient of course, but all the more fun!

Tap @ Troost during ’oudjaarsticken 2014’, small sample. Cloudy golden to orange color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma of banana, wheat and a slight hint of clove. Very likely it’s the Weihenstephaner yeast they have used here. Quite sweet in taste, again wheat. Very good take on a german hefeweizen and would be even better in summer.

Tap @ Troost during ’oudjaarsticken 2014’, small sample. Slight hazy amber to copper color, short frothy head. Aroma of citrus and pineapple, bit cookie and biscuit, caramel and toffee. Quite bitter in taste, but also some sweetness from cookie and biscuit. Bit more malty than other DIPAs, but again the yeast is clean, which is good. Very likeable again.

Tap @ Troost during ’oudjaarsticken 2014’, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, short head. Aroma of english pale malt, soft grapefruit like hop, bit pine, slight cookie. Quite malty in taste, soft bitterness. Almost in between an english and an american IPA. But at least it’s clean and not yeasty like other Dutch IPAs. I liked this one quite a lot.
