Description
In 2013 we brewed beer for the first time in our first brewery in the Amsterdam Pijp. We now make award-winning beers, soft drinks and from beer what is left over we distil gin and gin again. We make everything ourselves, as local as possible and completely organic because that is better for our beer and for the planet. Our breweries are located in the most beautiful places in the middle of Amsterdam. Not at all efficient of course, but all the more fun!

Had this at Troost Brewpub, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Saturday 27th September 2014. Pours orangey colour with a small white head. Soft in the mouth, yeasty, spicy and with a pleasant oomph. Really good tang, good for not being that sweet, a little too spicy perhaps. Good. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Had this at Troost Brewpub, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Saturday 27th September 2014. Much like the Saison in terms of appearance, i.e. pours orangey colour (more glowing than the Saison) with a small white head. Soft carbonation, perfumey, really quite scented, bitter and dry following. Fruity with a little pine also. Good. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

On tap @ the brewery. Amber colored, quite cloudy. Very fine off white head. Aroma’s: fruity, grassy hops, light malt sweetness, something faintly herbal (spearmint, sarsparilla). More hoppiness retronasal, along with some malty sweetness, yeast, caramel. Flavor is moderate bitter, with just a hint of malty sweetness. Body is light to medium. Finish is slightly grainish and evolves into a full bitterness, somewhat earthy. There’s room for improvement, but I think they’re off to a good start.

On tap at Troost. Clear light-amber colour, white head. Aroma of soapy hops, citrus, floral notes, some caramel/candy, marmalade. Flavour has the same qualities, mostly floral, nice mellow hops, citrus, lemon, decent bitter finish. Light-bodied, smooth mouthfeel. OK IPA. Still more English than American IMHO.

On tap at Troost. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of some citrus hops, hint of caramel, grain, grass. Flavour of malts, grass, some citrus, for me typical English hop and malt profile, light-hoppy finish with some grainy notes. Light-bodied, somewhat fizzy. OK-ish.
