Tall US can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April 22. Thanks Jeremy for this. Hazed golden amber appearance, small white head. Aroma of sticky resin. Taste seems centred on a sticky piney resin character, with additional marmalade and pineapple. The result is too boozy, with harsh resin, and sticky sweet fruit. Really not my cup of tea I'm afraid, though the others liked it.

12oz bottle from Tavour. Dark brown pour, wispy beige head. Sweet aroma of chocolate and raspberries. Raspberries are more pronounced in the taste, chocolaty notes, sweetness. Peanut butter crops up in the background and lactose brings sweetness and a silky feel. Creamy and latent warmth.

Didn't think there was going to be any head, then it just rose out of the black body like a zombie! 12oz bottle from Alexsdad06, cheers. Drank at my daughters place in Laguna Hills as my nightcap in the early hours of 19th February 2022. Heavy chocolate nose and taste, never heard of Elijah Graig before (not a Bourbon man), but I have now!

Ooof. It's actually been a while since I liked listermann, this is medicinal/astringent, gone off and I can't even blame the lactose cause it has none I think.

ABV: 7.0%. Cloudy dark to medium black brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, caramel, chocolate, peanut. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, peanut, peanut butter, caramel, dark malt, chocolate, nutty. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's an opaque, inky black with no sparkle, nice viscosity, thin cap of light brown head quickly fading to a ring and no lacing. Aroma is strong dominant peanut butter, vanilla and caramel with late fudge. Taste is strong peanut butter, roasted malt and nuts, caramel, vanilla and cocoa. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering roasted bitterness. Overall, flavor is more complex than aroma but both are strong. Yummy.
