Bottle @ Darkness Day 2012 shared with friends and a couple of dirty hippies. A bit hazy, pretty bright golden appearance with an off white head. A bit spicy, straw, light lemon citrusy, a bit herbal aroma. Mild barnyard, somewhat spicy, lemon citrusy flavor. Not a bad brew and I’m looking forward to having more of their stuff in the future.

Enjoyed at home. 750ML in a HFS tulip at 65 Degrees F. Pours a gorgesous bright clear yellow. Huge solid white carbonation that starts big and fades to a finger and sticks around with a huge amount of bubbles. Smell is full of honey and grapes with wheat and french bread. Taste is Unique. Sort of boring bland chewy wheat taste followed by a very dry grape skin taste, honey and spices.

Bottle @ B.R.A.D. Fest, courtesy of jcnielsen. Possibly infected, super bubbly head. Pours a brown appearance with a huge brown head. Spicy, toasted coffee, light chocolate, a touch fruity aroma. Slightly burnt, light chocolate, lightly roasted coffee, a bit friuty flavor. Way overcarbonated but I don’t think it’s infected.

Buffalo Trace Barrel Aged bottle (marked as bottled 3/5/2012) shared by someone at Sourfest. Pours with a black hued body and a small tan head. Aromas are of currants, sour fruit, chocolate, ash, burnt newspaper mostly. Some light barrel and vanilla character. Lightly toasted. Flavors are roasty, barrel, nutty, ashy, toasted. Lots of barrel character. Light acidity. Fuller than expected carbonation and a drier than expected finish. Low tannin.
