Hazy dark orange color with a medium frothy white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of grassy hop, grapefruit and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Refrigerated 12 oz can poured into a glass. Medium brown with beige head. Aroma is chocolate banana, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is chocolate, banana, and wheat esters.

The Buechel OGs raid the GABF 2023: Poured a dark blackish brown with a bubble brown head. Aroma is boozy, whiskey, roasted malts, toffee. Taste is boozy burn, toffee, rich malts.

Deep, clear brown with some creamy tan head. Full of melted caramel, vanilla, cafe latte, milk chocolate, light earthy hops, nutty. Very sweet throughout, obviously. Medium body. Finish is long and sweet, caramel, and milk chocolate with some bittersweet notes. This is obviously a very sweet novelty beer but it’s done well and is really fun. Perfect for sharing …

Bottle. A- Oak, chocolate, subtle roast. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Oak, whisky, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Not bad but needed more complexity. There was plenty of bourbon influence and a nice base beer but I wanted more lucious rich chocolate notes and vanilla, etc. Good but not top notch.

Bottle. A- Light, cocoa, roasted malt. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Charred oak, faint bitterness, roast, cocoa, mild tart apple. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- A little over a year old. Pretty solid beer overall. Not world class but it's hard to find anything wrong with it either.
