Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Clissold Wines, Stokey. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Nice aroma, with notes of pithy citrus, lemon and tangerine, some biscuity pale malts. The flavour falls off a little bit, with some crackery pale malts, oily grass, lemon peel, faint grapefruit pith. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with some bitter pine needles, further grass and rind, more dry pale malts. Enjoyable.

Notes from 2014. Cloudy near brown in the glass. Very light ring of foam, unusual for most ciders. Smells like a peach Jolly Rancher. Fruit flavor is kind of intense, but there’s also a bit of funk as a saving grace.

Hazy yellow pour with a bubbly fleeting white head. No lacing. Sweet pineapple and apple mix flavor, sweeter than other pineapple ciders I’ve had. Tart dry finish.Refreshing and chuggable.

Draft at Another Round, Downers Grove. Strong apple juice smell as soon as the glass appears. Cloudy gold color, with a bit of suds around the edge. This may be getting served a bit too cold, but all I’m getting is some very sweet apple juice. Basic apple cider taste. Though after it warms slightly, I have a bit of tartness at the end of each sip. Very slight carbonation. At least there’s no adjunct or sulfites apparent. Kind of one-dimensional, but let’s just suppose this is their mass-audience flagship.

Twist off bottle. Fairly fresh apple smell. Clear pale yellow. Lots of visible sparkling. First taste is much better than expected, lots of tingling sweetness. Goes down so easy, lovely stuff. Tasty, cutting personality, lots of hidden alky, I guess. Immediately makes me feel mellow like the time I tasted my first mountain dew in 1966. Yes, I’m really enjoying this, very much like soda pop apple ginger ale. Very nice lacing to the end. Yummy. I hope there’s no sugar added, but now I have my suspicions. I’m worried this may be a belly burner but bit yet.

Was expecting something different. This stuff pours muddy yellow. Smell was surprisingly a little off. Taste is big fresh orange juice, lots of big fresh orange juice, could pass as a breakfast drink fer sure. Plenty of sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Good impact, gets more impressive as session continues. A pleasing drink, be careful gulping this one, lots of sweetness in there with the tartness. Could be a belly burner. Quite impressive, don’t think I ever had a beer this so realistic in the orange department. Unique. Good co2 sizzle to the last drop. Tasty & quite satisfying.
