Bottle - Bacony smoke and a yeasty sweetness. Clear caramel with almost no head. Bacon, light sweetness and a long finish. More like a smoked ale vs. wheat.

Bottle - Dark chocolate, light dark bourbon and slight coffee notes. Jet black with a thin brown head. Lots of dark chocolate and a long finish, but little evidence of the wood. Finish is very long and bitter sweet.

Bottle - Perfumy caramel. Clear copper with a decent white head. Caramel and a light grassy hop bite. Very well done, but on the dark side with little farmhouse notes.

Bottle - Fruity esters and sweet malts. Pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Caramel sweetness with a light bitterness and long sweet honey like finish. Highly carbonated. Nice and sweet with some body, i like it.

Draft - Citrus, light grass and some berries. Clear gold with a thin white head. Fruit esters, grassy bitterness and a yeasty finish. I actually like this quite a bit, sweetness and bitterness well balanced.

Draft at Ole Saint, New Orleans. Deep garnet-brown body, medium dense creamy beige head. Light toasty, chocolaty nose. Toasty, nutty body with roast and chocolate notes. Also some cardboard. Basic and average.

Dark golden in the glass, grainy nose. The beer starts malty and spicy. Rough but great. The mainpart is highly drinkable, a bit grainy, a bit spicy from the French yeast (or its style) I think. The aftertaste is smooth-rough, spicy and grainy, slightly bitter.

Best by 01/14/14 Golden in the glass, neutral nose. The beer starts also very neutral. Where is the passion fruit? Smooth, hints of wheat. The mainpart is a bit more intense, but all aroma is very subtle. Nothing special or remarkable. In the end there are hints of fruitiness - probably the passion fruit here. On the tongue remains a wheat-ale like smooth aroma, nearly no hops, together with hints of sour passion fruit.
All in all very disappointing. No deep aroma, nearly no passion fruit, nothing remarkable. --> 7/11/6/7
