Take a Hike!®
Inspired by the 273-mile hiking trail that traverses through the Green Mountains, Long Trail Brewing Company has been a caretaker of Vermont craft since 1989. Moved and motivated by the local culture and surroundings, we work hard to create beers worthy of our Vermont roots. From small batch recipes developed in our farmhouse-turned-pilot-brewery to wider ranging staples like our flagship Long Trail Ale and freshly formulated Trail Hopper IPA, our brewers are committed to crafting a trail-worthy family of beers.

Pours clear amber with a fluffy white head, lots of carbonation. Aroma of floral honey. Taste has mildly floral elements, honeyed malt. Palate has a mild bite, some resin. Good.

Aroma of resin, lemongrass, pine. Taste has soft back-tongue lemongrass, citrus, oaky malt. Palate has more pine resin, hemlock aromics, nasal notes. Good.

A rather unique Winter Warmer. Has some Scottish Ale tone for sure, more so than a Wee heavy, which I assumed this was at 6%. Not quite spiced, but a lot of fruitcake depth which reminds me of Winter Warmers. Kind of a product of the past, when breweries were interested in creating something unique, malt interplay ect. Good.

Pours a hazy gold from a can. Not much of an aroma that I'm picking up on, maybe some stone and tropical fruit. Flavor is more of a tropical fruit, some citrus and stone as well. Good beer.

Grapefruit peel nose. Clear amber, medium head. Bread crust, wheat cracker, grapefruit peel. Medium body, easy carbonation. Malt and hops don't meld together very well, but I find their distinct presences refreshing.
