Tried from can. Poured sightly cloudy with a paper thin lace that quickly evaporated. True to its name it has an odor and taste of pickle brine with a lingering sour, salty finish. I typically find sour ales to be crisp, refreshing, easy to drink but to me, this beer is the opposite to those expectations.

Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours drk brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Aroma of burnt/roast and a chocolate note. Med plus body. Malty but fairly dryish. Moderately bitter. Flavor is burnt/roast, light chocolate. Some anise.

Can from total wine, $2. Pour is very light pale. Decent white head at first. Mild sweet fresh lager nose. Decent carbonation on the uptake. Flavor is slight blast furnace slag mixed with a little bit of grandma's permanent hair treatment. Quite well behaved for a lighter pale lager but I've had many other macro light pale lager american beers that were much more enjoyable and satisfying. Those other beers were only a dollar a can or less. There you have it.

Can: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is pickle, spicy, pungent. Taste is sour, pickle, spicy, tangy. This one hits for a pickle beer.

Can from Systembolaget Hansa drunk at home 19/05/2025 A style I love but hard to find this delivers a nice sweet toffee and caramel malty backbone interlaced with resinous sticky hops, pine needles and spiced citrus marmalade shred, warming malty and hoppy into the close. Lovely. Going by the much earlier reviews below they must of improved the recipe this year as this is a winner. Recommended.

Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours clear ruddy amber/mahogany with a large foamy tan head. Large amber malt aroma. Med plus body. Flavor is strong amber malt with a huge number of other flavors. Pine for sure. Excellent flavor.

Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours gold with a large white head that hurriedly laced into oblivion. Apricot aroma; light. Near med body. It's lightly sour. There's apricot and some malt support. Dry. Fairly nice.

Stovepipe can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a large creamy white head that persisted while going foamy and lacing. Aroma is somewhat citrus/pine but also has some soft tropical notes. Med body. Flavor is pretty much per the aroma. Tropicals could be green guava, lychee and melon. It's rather softly bitter, not so harsh as many West Coast IPAs, but the flavor is good.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy pale golden. Aroma of coconut, pineapple and mango. Sweet with light to thin body and clean mouthfeel. Sharp with guava juice and coconut. Metallic finish.
