DESTIHL was founded on the promise of supporting flavor and boycotting bland. We're an independent, production brewery that was established in 2013 in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois to brew beyond the confines of typical beers. Our team combines centuries-old global brewing traditions and new American craft brewing ingenuity & artisanship to produce a wide array of beers for every palate. We brew more styles of beer because we have a passion for brewing and because you have a passion for unique, craft beers. The result is a diverse offering of intensely flavorful beers that are anything but bland, from our award-winning WiLD SOUR Series, barrel-aged Saint Dekkera® Reserve Sour Ales and Dosvidanya® Russian Imperial Stout, to our many Belgian-style beers, IPA's, other wood-aged beers, classic styles and exciting seasonals. DESTIHL has become a brand, but we have not strayed from our roots. We take pride in our values and will continue to grow and support our local community. We promise to deliver on these uncompromising beliefs. Every beer we brew is unique. So, whether you share it or hoard it, we hope you enjoy it. After all, you deserve it.

Stovepipe can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a large creamy white head that persisted while going foamy and lacing. Aroma is somewhat citrus/pine but also has some soft tropical notes. Med body. Flavor is pretty much per the aroma. Tropicals could be green guava, lychee and melon. It's rather softly bitter, not so harsh as many West Coast IPAs, but the flavor is good.

Can at home. Pours deep golden with quickly disaipating white head. Nose is bready malts, citrus zest and lactic sourness and a light spicy touch. Taste is rather sour upfront, lactic acid dominates with a citric touch, but as it fades the coriander appears as well just like bready malts to provide the backbone. Closes with a sour finish, has light body and soft to average carbo. I would’ve loved less of the sourness and more of everything else, and also some more carbonation to make is more refreshing and crispier. A nice gose nevertheless.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a thin, dense brown head. Intense, robust aroma of dark malt not leaving room for so much more, perhaps a hint of dark chocolate. Flavor is pretty heavy as well, mostly strong dark malt, quite sweet, dark chocolate, some kind of alcohol fusel that reminds me of bandage and sharp bitterness. Pretty rough, but I like it.

Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.
