Crisp light copper coloured body with a orange glow and a thin tan head. Aroma of pale malt, rice, light fruits and not much else. Light-bodied; Sharp bitter bad malt taste with almost nothing else going on except for stale sugars, caramel, bitter nuts and a very bad medicinal flavour. Aftertaste shows the beer very badly with only the bittering flavours coming through. Overall, a bad beer and easily the worst from the brewery, and that’s saying a lot! Definitely worth passing up - this is not a wheat nor a beer that’s better than the worst of the macros. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits on 15-February-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 21-February-2010.

750 ml bottle, given to me as a Christmas gift by my wife. 2009 Vintage, APR1210 stamped on bottle. Pour is hazed yellow slight twinge of green, tons of floaties and a big fluffy four inch head. First half of head falls fast, remainder lasts for awhile. Aroma of clove spice yeast, faint and a touch on the chemical side. Taste is the straw and the yeast of the nose. A touch cleaner than the nose, though the taste really fades quick, and then is gone almost before the finish. As it warms, flavors comes out more. The chemical taste also comes out as it warms, detracting sone. Palate is medium bodied, on the low carbonation side and some clove and honey in the aftertaste after it warms.

bottle, pours light amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is yeasty with fig and candy sugar. Flavor is actually not that bad, the base malt flavors are a tad watered down, but the spicing and dark candy sugar are nice.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is flat malty and mild hops fruity. Dry malty, caramelish and lack hops alternative to none. Sweet and malty finish.

bottle, pours light carmel with a medium off white head. Strong wheat aroma with light lime zest notes. Flavor is strong wheat and corn with a lime syrup kind of thing in the finish. Not bad, but strange.

It can only be a matter of time before Cave Creek Grand Cru. This beer is a hazy yellow color with a medium fizzy white head that dissipates fairly fast. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Mild citrus and bready malt in the nose. Light body with flavors of sweet spice, oranges and malt. The finish is lightly spiced with a yeast and fruit aftertaste that does not linger. Kind of surprised the ABV is this high as it is not really noticeable. Not much different than the regular Blue Moon.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan color, soda-like head that fades out after a minute. Orange-citrus and wheat aroma. Medium bodied, with a solid citrus edge. A little corny, lacks the real deep vanilla smoothness of a quality Wit. The coriander is well incorporated, not standing out too much. Overall a pretty decent offering, but still sub-par for the style.

Sweet tea aroma. Tea colored, thin white head. My God, I hope it doesn’t taste like tea. Thankfully, it doesn’t. The flavor is sweet hay, candy sugar and sweetgrass. Marshmallow and wheat finish. Thinnish mouthfeel. This is pretty nice.
