Description
Great beer, great service, great space. Boiler Brewing Company and tap room is located in downtown Lincoln in the historic Grand Manse building. The stately stature of the Grand Manse is accurately reflected in the bold beers that brewmaster Tim Thomssen prefers to make. Aside from the ever rotating list of beers, mead and cider, food is also available. A unique experience in every glass.

The mild aromas are malt, herbs and a hint of barnyard. Flavors are not too similar to nose with white wine standing out, adding in prickly pear. Bittersweet with reasonable carbonation in body. Durgable beer but nothing special. A little more into it and citrus comes out more. Getting better.

Can from Tavour: pours golden yellow haze with white head of small size. Aroma is big passionfruit, guava, mango punch from the Nectaron and Rakau. the citra is there but does not come close to the named hops. Taste is sweet, lot bitterness, very aromatic. Pretty nice.

a: crazy opaque pink coloured body | almost no head
a: fresh pineapples | rich lactose | tart oranges
f: rich wheats | tropically | curacao finish
t: peaches | strong icing sugar | refreshing fruits
o: amazing throughout | rich fruits | this is a REAL Boiler beer! This is why I rave about the brewery, not the 'spiked seltzers' that were there when I visited this time!!!

Bottle at share. Dark, dark violet pour, bordering on black. Boozy aroma, berries buried in the back. Taste is fruity, sweet, a touch of tartness and then obliterated by a healthy burn. Sticky fruit lingers.

Put the beer and the coconut and shake it all up. Massive barrel, lots of coconut. Layered chocolate and more coconut. A chocolate coconut liquid lasagna

Tavour can: black with fairly quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma is loads of coffee beans... think coffee shoppe in the 90s with quirky decor. Some chocolate. Taste is heavy dark roasted coffee. Kind of fruity actually. Fine but not the kind of coffee I like to drink.

So many nuts. The almonds standout up front, with a thick chocolate and some coconut.
