(50 cl bottle from Systembolaget, courtesy of deft) BB 250309 (Maybe, looks almost like 08, but the beer should be fresh On September 3, 2008Brewed by Krönleins, Sweden Clear straw yellow color, white head. Malty, seet, resin, acidic, grainy scent. Malty, stale, metallic, grainy taste. Stale aftertaste. A bit weak mouthfeel, low to medium bitterness. Some nettles and grass also.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Very sweet aroma. Caramell notes. Tastes like a strong hefeweizen, not too alcoholic. Finish sweet, strong, but still well balanced. Good beer!

(Draught at Kaisla as König Ludwig on 2008-07-30) Orange. Cloudy. Big white head that didn’t last long. Banana and malts in nose. Light palate with medium carbonation. Banana, malts, light pine flavours and bitterness. Slightly bitter short aftertaste.

Bottle (thanx to joss !): Golden, bigger loose white head with a good lace; light metallic nose with a vinous touch, all in all the usual suspects in the nose: grains, pale malt and so on; soft MF, medium bodied; solid sweet, a bit almondy finish with a hoppy touch in the aftertaste. Good, but not great.........

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a medium-sized, quite persistent foamy white head. Light-sweet, slightly sour doughy malt aroma with grainy accents and a whiff of herbal hops. Slightly bitter flavour; doughy and slightly nutty taste; medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation; sweet-bitter, (hazel-)nutty and shy herbal hoppy finish (16.07.08).

Big thanks to pivnizub for the beer! The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Fine brown head. Tastes not as strong as exspected, constant malty, finish a little bit smoky. Very drinkable doppelbock. Well done!

Bottle. Banana, lemon, and wheat malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head and moderate efferves cense. Primarily wheat malt flavor - moderate banana and light clove. A pretty nice Kristall.

My first ever black/dark lager, and I really liked it. [br] Appearance: Very dark brown, little head. Aroma: Malt, fruity. Taste: Nice and fruity, a bit different. Malty, but smooth. Info: 500ml bottle, 8/11-2005, 48/300, 29/500

Bottle at home ... deep red brown ... rich yeast dark fruit nose ... Toffee malts some raisins ... little sweet ... even a touch barley wine ... bit over sweet in end

Bottle at ÅBF08. Roasted, sweet malt aroma. The flavour also has some roast, sweet malt. Good alcohol level. Clear brown colour. No head. Nice hint of lagering.
