The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Aroma more like a pilsner, not like a hefeweizen. Tastes the same. Too less fruity, too dry. Drinkable, but not a good beer.

50 cL bottle, as Konig ludwig weissbier dunkel. Pours murky brown with a dense off-white head. Mild malty and wheaty aroma. Flavour starts medium sweet. Has a distinct chocolate malt note covering the classic wheat notes. A clear esteric and slight banana flavour can be sensed towards the finish. Ends with a classic wheat flavour and a mild malt note.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale orange with a large longlasting white head. Sweet banana aroma with some spicy hints. Thin watery malty flavor with some banana hints. Sweet thin malty finish with some weak banana hints in the aftertaste.

New rating 7 years after the first. Thanks to my brother, found that beer in my advent calender. Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass light brown, small head. Starts fine malty, quite dry, modest roasty. Some earthy-metallically notes. Finish milder, more balanced. Quite drinkable. Not bad!

Dunkelhefiger Antrunk, etwas fruchtig (Banane), darunter baut sich ein malziger, in Teilen röstiger Ton auf. Die Fruchtigkeit wird stärker, das Bier an sich aber milder. Die Malzigkeit lässt am schnellsten nach und sorgt so dafür, dass der Weizenbock dann doch eher einem Weizen als einem Bock gleicht. The yellow labels looks not so good. The beer in the glass is fine. But the beer tastes really stale and insipid. I was disappointed. Not a good beer.

Malziger, mehr aber deutlich süßer Antrunk. Im Ansatz durchaus würzig, dies wird aber nur wenig weiterverfolgt, so verläuft dieses Aroma im Mittelteil. Die Süße bleibt dagegen weitestgehend erhalten, wird aberzum Abgang hin deutlich schwächer. Im Hintergrund ist das Bier hier etwas stechend, der Alkohol ist erkannbar, aber gut versteckt. (Bottle, brewed under license in Sweden by Krönleins) Yellow colour with white, frothy, but brief head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grain, grassy hops and a hint of citrus. Malty, grassy taste with bread, citrus and grassy hops. Initial bitterness fades out towards the dry finish. Cleaner, drier and less malty than most german oktoberfestbeers. Fresh and drinkable.

Sure, it isn’t exactly hefe weather, but sometimes you just need a hefe, and I’ve never had this one, so what the hell? - fizzy, cloudy yellow beer, with minimal head, and huge, chunky floaties that are so dense that they rapidly sink to the bottom on the glass - not very attractive - bright, fruity aroma, with notes of honey, tangerine, and apricot, along with a mild acidity, and a musty, earthy character - it’s got a nice spicy dry flavor at first, followed by a medium honey sweetness, and loads of floral character - fruity notes of apple, orange, peach, but no banana at all (a welcome change from most hefes) - a mild acidity keeps thing lively, and compliments the fruitiness - this beer may not look like much, but it’s pretty tasty.

Bottled(500ml). -This one was very nice surprise. Cloudy orange coloured, medium sized persistent white head, mild acidic wheaty nose. The taste is nice wheaty, fruity and unfortunately very watery with notes of caramel. One of the better n.a. beers that I’ve tried.
