A nice but forgettable lager with aromas of lemon and hay. A nice, slightly sweet malty taste.

Aromas of pine, boiled lollies, bread, grass and malted milk. A sharp, bitter mouthful with that malty flavour peeking through.

Can. Clear golden amber with an inch of white head. Aroma of citrus rind, candied tropical fruit. Sweet and clean with wafty citrus - grapefruit & pomelo - hints of tropical fruit and medium high bitterness (less rasping than the throwback IIPAs it references). Good but not a lot of character on show.

Can. Clear amber with a fading cm of white head. Funky, somewhat medicinal aroma of citrus-infused pencil shavings, green wood, light bread. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Seems dryish but hard to tell whether that's partly the (actual?) juniper berries - light bread, citrus, moderate bitterness with zingy spices at the end. Not sure a 5.7% beer can be sessionable but it's very drinkable. A candidate for Christmas lunch?

From a 375ml bottle on 5/11/2022 (ABV 8.5%, shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a deep brown with a small head. Has a fermented tart fruity nose. Tastes of bitter dark chocolate, dark and dried fruit, and red grape, finishes strongly sour and tart, which lingers long. Definitely more sour than stout. Oily mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Not really my kind of thing but still well done.

14/10/2022. Can from Dan Murphy’s. Pours black with a small short lasting beige coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, plum pudding, mild coffee, caramel, light liquorice and ash. Medium sweetness and light to moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Finished smooth but a little watery, overall enjoyable.

Can. Dark brown with a dense beige head that fades to a coat. Toasty aroma with mocha, earthy and citrusy hops. The citrus is more prominent upon a taste. Light bodied with a lovely clean gluggable palate. Dryish with mocha, a little caramel, very little roast, moderate bitterness. Typically well put together offering from Boatrocker.
