From a 375ml can on 30/4/2024. Pours a deep golden light amber with a small head. The nose is sweet and malty - caramel and toffee, brown sugar. Taste follows suit - again caramel, toffee and brown sugar, with dried and stewed fruit, Christmas pudding and citrus peel. Finsihes sharp and moderately bitter, with the sweet-bitter balance really hitting the sweet spot. The mouthfeel is syrupy and a touch oily, with softish to moderate carbonation. Presents like the big beer it is but is perhaps a touch too easy to down. An absoluitely cracking barley wine.

Nice balanced aroma of pine, mango and a little grape, but it's pure XPA in the mouth. Heaps of grapefruit and pine overwhelm everything else, but I like it. got some real guts.
