A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light vanilla, light bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice and rich.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include dark roasted coffee, caramel, chocolate and a hint of black cherries. First swig was thicker, sweet and bold. Flavours of chocolate, vanilla, burnt toast and coffee with a hint of cherries. Finish is sweeter with burnt malt flavours lingering.

Tasting at Ryan's, bottle
Brown, very dark, not much head (not expected, with this much alcohol). Aroma of fudge, vanilla, chocolate, caramel. Full bodied, sweet, finally a Barley Wine with decent malt depth, it also has caramel sauce, vanilla; strong alcohol perception, and I'm thinking that a bit less of it would be better for the flavour, for the body, for the richness.
Excellent.

Dark brown colour, no head. Aroma of dark sugars, bourbon, molasses. Full bodied, sweet, with low carbonation, which boosts the thickness; enough mlt depth, some tofee, dark caramel, bourbon, vanilla, and an interesting note of dark berries and berry jam (not sour); warming alcohol, but it's well hidden.
Excellent.

500ml (thx, Charles S.!) shared with Alex @ home. Appearance: very dark brown with a quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma: American oak, sweetness, dark fruits, some caramel. Taste: along the same lines with an addition of some brown sugars. A bit boozy, but it's a pleasant kick. Overall: nice one.
