Cask at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Nose is banana, digestive biscuit, peach. Taste is the first two of the above. Doesn't have the bitterness of the original. Quite pleasant though.

Cask at White Lion, Stockport. Pours bright copper with a small almost white scummy head and good lacing. The aroma is quite simply bitter hops. In the mouth in is superficially sweet but with underlying bitterness. Flavour has bitter hops and corn with some underlying citrus initially (though this fades). Hints of honey and ginger later. Finish is quite bitter. This is decent – a good attempt as recreating the much missed classic.

Honestly I don't see why this is allegedly bad. Yeah an inbev and the like. A creamy clear english ale with toffees and mild bitters, available for 9 bucks a 4 pack at your crappy local grocery store.
Not everything needs to be a triple dry hopped mango lactose sour, people.

Can. This was not very good at all. It’s beer in a can. That’s what it tastes like. No smell. Looks like cheap can beer and has no taste. Maybe it’s old. I would not recommend this one.

another nitro can. Wow, i found this to be bitter, but not in a pleasant kind of way. its was way too foamy, and i had to wait until the foam died down, cause it was making everything taste of metal. Blech.
