Bottled version. Deep amber. The low carbonation gives a pleasant, soft mouthfeel. Malty and dry, but also slightly papery. Medium bitterness.

Definitely one of my favorites. Perfect at about 54 degrees, a great caramel and roasted malt flavor that lingers long. Can’t wait to try this on tap. Only qualms would be that it lacks a foretaste with much complexity, too carbonated in the bottle.

Apparently an effort from Theakston to attract cool people through cool ale. They can do better than that.

Milds are really not my favourite style among cask ales - most of them are, well, too mild... However, this one is probably about as good as a mild can get.

Peculier but in a good way! Khaki (is that a color?) head over a rich brown Ale. The color is especially beautiful while pouring for some reason (?). Wonderful roasty flavor and complex aroma I can't begin to pinpoint. I can't wait to have this one again!

Light coffee taste mixed with a smooth palate. A refreshing mild on a warm spring day.
