Keg @ The Bailey Head after a hot evening ride in Candy Woods. Clear gold, good white head. Aroma brings a gentle malt sweetness. Smooth to taste with a mild buttery sweetness, and a reigned in bitterness, good drinkability. Nice Helles.

Cask at EBF Summer 22. Aroma had sour fruit. Clear orange. Thin bubbly translucent white head recedes to the rim. Medium bitter with syrupy stone fruit and spice. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long dry finish. OK.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thanks a lot for this lush rarity!]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with late awakening, small to average, thick, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige to tan head. Fruity and mildly bretty, roasty and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of cherry, morello, Hubba Bubba bubblegum, hints of chocolate, dark chocolate, a weak touch of Port, plum and dark caramel. Taste is initially sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, slightly fruity, notes of chocolate and cherry, later tart-ish fruity and papery, hints of morello and cardboard, brittle wood. Watery texture, dry palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Wonderful, promising nose, rather disharmonious taste, sadly some off-flavours, no vestiges of BA throughout - oxymorontic.

Clear and golden with a nice white head and a light malt and slightly floral aroma. Sweeter than your average citra pale, but nice and smooth with a touch of hop bitterness in the finish

Can. Almost clear brown amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, quite light, a modicum of thin creamy sweetness. The coffee is light and slightly earthy, a light but definite fruitiness to it. Light finish. Hmm. A pleasant affair but I am not sure such a light beer is really delivering anything like the full character of the coffee.
