Very dark amber, thin head, more caramel/toffee, low bitterness, kind of like Victoria (the beer), so authentic character but that’s also something of a desperate measures kind of beer for me.

Dullish, medium head, quite fruity, raspberry, pear, some honey, it’s an oddball melange but it works…other than the fact that the apparent bitterness is like 20IBU, not really enough to hold a TIPA together.

Dullish hazy, thin head, fruity, lemon curd, quite sweet, decent flavours just a little misbranded as IPA because it really lacks bitterness.

Dullish hazy, thin head. Sweet, some banana. The malt is okay, and just sort of there. Not integrated with the esters, it’s basically a decent first try at a hefeweizen.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of sweet bourbon, caramel, graham cracker, vanilla, a bit if maple syrup, a bit of dark fruity and slick roasted malts. Flavors of dusty dry maple syrup, vanilla, black coffee, oaky bourbon and roasted malts. Dry finish

Opaque. Looks nice. Has a great nz hop aroma, bright and fruity. There's a touch of hop burn up front, but all told the malts are pretty good, and that helps showcase the NZ hop. I thought it was great, but it was 30C and I was 70km into my ride, two factors that probably add a few points.

Pinkish and opaque. No head. Berries, kettle sour, sweet berry, it’s decent and fruity.

Cloudy, with a beige sort of colour and a frothy medium head. Bright citrus hop nose, with pine and gooseberry. On the palate, it has some yeastiness, medium bitterness, and an okay, if unexciting malt base. Similar hop expression on the palate as the aroma.

Opaque, quite pale, thick head. Good body, but lowish bitterness. Light fruity hop, not much. A bit of huskiness. It’s okay, definitely needs a bit more hop.

Gold, bright, medium head. There’s not much on the nose but the palate has a bright berryish fruitiness, big pale malt, medium bitterness. The Tamarack hop is a semi-feral grown here in a project with KPU, I’ve been a fan of both beers they’ve made with it. And this one, look, this is as clean and well-structured as anything I’ve had from Barnside.
