Bomber. Don’t recall which store in greater SD area. This is the Bison 2010 reunion. The name should be expanded. Pours a pretty dark brown with a 3 finger foamy tan head. Rich warm lightly smoky roasted malt aroma. Body is rather watery. Carbonaton seems limp. Flavor is smokey malt, but not sticky sweet. There’s a decent level of yeast/spice flavor. There’s some decent floral hop aspect. I think I prefer htis thin version with the Belgian notes to a heavy, sticky, over smokey scotch ale. The yeast/spice tends to dominate over a long finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours pitch black with an ample tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is almost exclusively bitter chocolate. It tastes like bitter dark chocolate, and nothing else. This beer is thin and one-dimensional. It delivers on the chocolate, but has nothing else.

A murky reddish copper ale with virtually no head. A herbal malt aroma with light basil and smooth honey notes. In mouth, a rather bland and watery herbal malt, not much basil, dryish honey, boring. Bottle at Datz, May 24 2010.

Bomber pours copper with white head and some spotty lacing. The aroma has citrus, floral, spicy and earthy hops as well as sweet sugary malts. The taste is sweet with malts and caramel malts moving into earthy hops, earthy organic stale malts, pine hops, some spicy hops and citrus. Kind of a malty earthy organic IPA I just can get into.
