At Bierhuis aan de Waterkant, shared with Ster of the BeerTemple. Creamy, moussy, egg-white head, deep and warm peach blonde colour, hazy. Classic but convincing Belgian tripel aroma of peach, banana, white bread, baker’s yeast, apple peel, white pepper; fruity onset with ’clean’ esteriness, medium to sharpish carbo, sweetish, supple bready malt sweetness in the middle with light caramelly touch, some yeastiness in the finish but more than anything, a surprisingly long, earthy, peppery, drying hop bitterness. Very decent example of the style.

(13/07/2015) 330 ml. bottle sampled @ 20ste Zomerbierfestival. Pale golden, small uneven white bubbles. Nose is odd, chemical, hugely artificial, odd wheat & light apple,… Taste is apple, unpleasant chemical-like notes, artificial wheat,… Thin & fizzy,… Unpleasant,… Significantly less pleasant than the 2 fruit version for me. Not sure what is going on here but I didn’t care for it at all.
