Description
Ridgeway Brewing was established in 2002 by master brewer Peter Scholey (former head brewer at Brakspear) and his wife Vanda. The name comes from the ancient trade route that winds its way through English countryside between small towns. It has been around for thousands of years, adapting with the changing times, The reason why we chose the name Ridgeway, apart from living on it, was that we hope to create lasting experiences, believe in the long term and love the outdoors.

21/1/2023. Bottle shared at the first ITFC 2023 beer share. From Beers of Europe. Pours very slightly hazy amber orange with a frothy just off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, biscuit, orange, stewed fruit, veg. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Light dry and fruity finish. Not bad.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a slightly hazy golden/orange colour with a two finger foamy white head. Not getting much aroma on the nose but seems fruity and biscuity. Taste is fruity with citrus and floral notes, a touch more biscuit and also earthy hops on the lingering bitter finish. Full body, fairly low carbonation and oily mouthfeel. I wouldn’t say it’s very Christmasy but still a good decent beer.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours an almost clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aromas of peppery spice, biscuits, brandy, orange zest, marmalade, syrup and warming alcohol. Taste has more of the same notes coming through, some added honey, a little alcohol burn and a light earthy hop lingering on the finish. Medium to full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth oily mouthfeel. This is a decent beer and the alcohol is fairly well hidden considering the strength. Would have this again.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a hazy light amber colour with a large foamy white head. Light citrusy and floral Aromas but not a lot more. Taste is again citrus and floral, some lemon and grapefruit with a hint of caramel and some herbal notes and peppery spice. Citrus and floral hops on the finish. Thin to medium body and fairly low carbonation. Decent enough although not very Christmasy and probably would not worry if i didn’t have it again.
