Description
Stroud Brewery was established in 2006 by Greg Pilley and his wife Jade. The business has grown steadily and now employs over 20 people. We recently constructed a brand new building purpose built for our growing needs. It provides more space for the brewery, allowing an increase in our production capacity, a larger office and a canal-side tap with beautiful views of the Golden Valley.

We have created a range of organic beers that we are really proud of, because they taste great and their production supports the local farmers and the ecosystems they manage. The standards we must adhere to for organic certification support our ambition to be a business that cares for people and planet.

Can shared in London - cheers to Daniel. Pours clear honey-gold with a foamy, pure white head. Light sweet flavour, some husky grain, straw, grass, lemon peel. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bitter finish, dry, grassy, more straw, biscuits. Alright.

6th Floor bottleshare with the usual suspects. Thanks to Dan the man for the can. Almost clear gold beer, small off white head. Light smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, quite sweet, some cereal. Bright sweet fruits. Little pine. Light semi dry finish. Odd but okay.

Cask at Captain Cooks, Östersund. Tricky one. On the one hand it was exactly how I want my cask pale ales with a nice grassy bitterness. And yet a very chemically ending that affected the score.

Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Old Joint Stock. Covering white head leaving rich lacing on the glass, clear golden body. Grassy-herbal nose, promising. Mixed taste of biscuit and ripe fruits with mild malty sweetness in the background. Semi-sweet malt-fruity end. Pleasing. (Birmingham 13.02.2023).
