Description
We are the incredible result of what happens when brewers wonder “what if” and pursue that curiosity to its fullest. We created Springdale to push the limits of fermentation and explore flavors with the hope of creating bold new beers to share with our friends. That’s why we launched with the largest barrel program in Massachusetts. Over 1300 barrels currently sit in our taproom working their slow magic on beautiful beers. But that wasn’t enough for us. Next we dove into IPAs, traditional European beers with new twists, and fruit-forward kettle sours. All of these were created to explore fermentation forward beers and find new ways to share them with you.

We arrived at this pursuit in a unique way as well. The brewers of Jack’s Abby had been cultivating killer craft lagers for years before we launched, but found themselves wanting to push the limits of beer far beyond their core, traditional lagers. That left them with only one choice – start a whole new brand. That curiosity and willingness to take risks is what launched Springdale. The quality and expertise in this brewery is what drives Springdale.

16oz can from a liquor store in Chatham, Cape Cod. Drunk at our motel in Bar Harbor. Pours pitch black, with a dense, deep tan head. Prominent aroma of roasted coffee grain. Good coffee presence to taste without dominating too much, nicely sweet with nice chocolatey notes. Excellent coffee stout overall.

Tip Tap draught, 3/11/23. Light blonde, with perhaps a tinge of strawberry. Lightly hazy, small, wispy, off-white head. Nose shows plentiful chalky mineral, grapeskin and a healthy balance of brett and lacto with no acetic character. Low oak, well-macerated grape juice, clean, with biscuity malts and no alcohol. Soft, lightly juicy, lots of chalk and grapeskin with a lingering merlot-like juiciness. Very dry, soft, neutral tannin with biscuity, well-attenuated malts. Clean, no alcohol, good acid balance and not overdone on the grapes.

Pale golden coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of very soft and tart lemons and bretty notes with a dash of lactose and lactobilly funk and some barnyardie funk as well, but very clean in the nose. Light lemon and tart earl grey tea notes with some bergamot and of course lavender noticeable, but very mild and clean-drinking, in a great way. Aftertaste shows the tartness and soft sweetness from lemons along with a dash of curacao and some wheatie notes that are very easy-drinking, but end off being tart at the finish with lemons and funk from brett. Overall, this is very easy-drinking and super clean, tart and soured flavours from the lavender and lemons with some good tea notes that finish nicely. This one was great to sample, especially for a lavender and earl grey lover, and the price point was great - this is recommended even if it was three times the price! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from GlenRo Spirit Shoppe in Monroe, Connecticut on 25-November-2022 for US$1,00 (part of a 6 for $6 pack!!!), canned on 31-March-2021 and sampled in my hotel room here in Orlando, Florida with my wife and three kids on 29-December-2022.

Can from the Packie Mostly clear medium gold in color with a decent sized bubbly white head that quickly recedes. Lime and fruit dominate the nose. Flavor is tart with a fruit back and not much beer behind it.

At SAVOR. Poured a dark, coffee roasted malts with an ecru head. Huge cold brew coffee notes. Bitter but not too bitter, nice and refreshing to be perfectly honest. Really enjoyed this beer. Tasty!
