Gravity at the miller London bridge. Opaque black caramel colour with a loose light tan head. Aroma is soft roast with soft citrus hop. Palate is slightly flabby med sweet. Flavour is soft acrid roast with a grassy citrus hop Medium hop duration. Middle of the road black IPA.

Cask@The Criterion, Leicester. Golden beer with a good head. The aroma is fruity with some dryness, and the flavour is fruity with some sourness and bitterness. Overall a good beer for an English wheat beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma has english toffee, licorice and some ash. Flavour has salty licorice, herbs, tobacco, ash and some coffee. Pairs ok with BBQ steak. The licorice is nice here but the saltiness and herbal notes are too overwhelmng.

Bottle from AlesByMail.co.uk. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich fruits, caramel, nuts and hops. Semi sweet finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/7/2013. Deep gold with a slight white head. A touch of citrus hops, biscuity malts and a decent, bitter finish. Fine.

Gravity cask at the Wandsworth Common London Beer Festival July 2013 - Le Gothique. Pours dark brown with a frothy beige head. Plenty of roasty malts in the nose, hints of earthy hops, some wheat and banana. Light to medium sweet flavor with bitter roast, charcoal, cocoa, light banana, earth, burnt pine. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter earth finish, some burnt wheat, charred toast. OK. Lots going on here, that’s for sure. Hard to classify in terms of style, but since the base beer is IPA it’s made with roasted malts I went black IPA; of course, the wheat and oat additions kind of throw a spanner in the works, but there you go.

Cask at the Pigs Ear BF 2012 - London. ours clear brown with a fine, beige foam head. Winter spices in the nose, some pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with semi-dark malts, earth, more winter spices, dark bread, light pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry on the finish with further semi-dark malts, some orange citrus, earth. Decent stuff.

Cask @Alma, Crystal Palace. It pours clear amber with a small beige head. The nose is wood, hay, leather, varnish and a touch of sweetness. The taste is wood, leather, varnish, faint caramel and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A simple, straight-forward bitter.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Chocolately dark malty aroma, hints of cocoa and nougat. Taste is initially minimally sweet dark malty, hints of dark fruit, later with notes of coffee, chocolate, cautious floral hoppy overtones, eventually dry and roasty in the finish. Very good.

Bottled (from AbM). Deep orangeish/pale amber colour with a big white foamy head. Aroma is tropical fruits, some zest, floral notes as well as some caramel and mild spicyness. Flavour is tropical fruit juice, some caramel, mild yeast and a bit resiny and sprucelike notes in the finish. Nice IPA, without overdoing it.
