Description
Anne and Jacques Korczak brew their artisanal beers in a former barn. The beers are 100% natural, brewed only with local, healthy and unprocessed products, without any artificial addition. The hops (Strisselspalt, Hallertau Tradition, Aramis, Colombus, Brewers Gold, ...) come exclusively from Alsatian hops fields and the malt plant is located near Strasbourg.

bottle, Village de la Bière Strasbourg. Bottle #0427, lot N° 87. Hazy golden yellow, small fluffy head, quickly disappearing. Fragrant nose with a wheaty touch, yeasty, spicy. Light-bodied with lively carbonation. Spicy hoppy touch, grassy, slightly peppery, fruity touch in the background.
Earlier Rating: 3/11/2011 Total Score: 3.5
bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg France. Cloudy pale yellow, large white head. Spicy nose. Malty, fruity, citrusy with lots of spices (cardamom, clove, cinnamon), quite peppery spicy. Smooth palate, not over carbonated. A very nice example of the style.

bottle, many thanks to jaghana! Hazy amber with a mid-sized off-white head. First a strongly alcoholic nose, quickly turning into intensive hoppy aroma. Full-bodied malty flavours with a touch of alcohol support loads of grassy and resiny hops. Fruity, but not poverloaded with citrus - rather herbal resiny hop flavours than citrusy. However, quite fruity with hints of peach, apricot and plum. Smooth and velvety palate, lingering bitter finish. Good, good stuff.

Hazy amber and a bit of a flat pour. Sweet syrupy aroma. Flavour has a fruity syrupy taste. Bit of a jammy taste to it.

Cloudy drak amber with good sized off-white head. Loads of fruity hops, peach, tropical and so on. Piny finish. Fresh baked bread maltiness. Taste is massive hoppy bitterness with light malty sweetness. Medium bodied. Great complex very, very hoppy ale.

Slightly hazy amber with medium white head and big lacing. Sweet malts, caramel, light yeast and prunes, hint of spices. Medium sweet with dry bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, but more like an amber ale than IPA.

Slow gusher. Small coarseish brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty burnt earthy aroma with herbal musty notes. Dry-sweet wooden lacquer taste with roasty earthy burnt notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, fizzy mouthfeel. Dryish minty earthy roasty aftertaste with coffee and chocolate notes. Nice and drinkable. A bit fizzy. Slightly odd. (0.33l bottle at Couleurs de Bieres, Montpellier.)
