Sampler at Beer Junction in West Seattle. There is a rose hue to the beer. Otherwise, this is one of this spiced Belgians rather than Saisons and its not that good of a Belgian. There is a bit of light rose water in flavor and aroma. Otherwise, slightly too sweet, seemed underattenuated. Slick feel to the beer, flabby not crisp, clean, bright and directed. Its not horrible but no interesting.

Cask conditioned variety in Bend. Dry and pale, hazy golden with small creamy head, very dry bitterness on top of some malt sweetness.

I got this in a trade. The date on the bottle says March 20, 2014. It is stamped in white in the bottom left hand corner of the label.
I poured this into a snifter.
The appearance is a hazy orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that drastically falls and leaves a decent spider web coating of lace.
The smell is pure sweet citrus, well amplified with powerful grapefruit and other tropical fruits.
The taste is mainly sweet through the citrus. There is a slight grapefruit aftertaste leading to a dry citrusy finish.
On the palate, it sits about a medium on the body with the right amount of carbonation invading my mouth and tongue. There seems to be a slight sessionable aspect to it as well.
Overall, I say this is a well worthy DIPA of having again as I’m quite surprised seeing that it was made in March and I’m having it now. Could I have this with food? Quite possibly as I don’t take too much notice to the 9% ABV. If anything, this is an exceptionally well done DIPA.

Bottle from LetsPour.com. Pours very hazy golden amber with a slight white head. Aroma is fruit/citrus. Med + body. Flavor is mild stone fruit, caramel moving on to citrus. Lots of hop, but not harsh. Finishes towards dry and very hoppy.

Spring cleaning notes. Tap at pub pours out a dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is coffee, heavy roast malts, some dark chocolate, and a touch of hops. Taste is just as the nose but more cocoa, coffee, and some smoke.I think they hit what they were after on this one.
