Cask. Clear, warm deep amber with a small, rough off-white head. Aroma of wood and nuts with some alcohol showing. Medium body, low in carbonation, again nuts and wood, but also earthy and rather oxidized in a tired way. Alcoholic finish. Sloppy. 060709

Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5

On tap. Hazy yellow with a white head leaving laces. Aroma of yeast and - surprisingly - hops! Light body, no banana or yeast notes and a little sulphur before a surprisingly hoppy finish. Not bad as such, but has absolutely nothing to do with a Hefe. 060709
