22 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours dark amber / orange brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of citrus fruits, pomegranate (obviously), mango, and citrus hops. Flavour is pretty muted - the aforementioned fruits, with a bitter tangy finish. Palate is dry and not overly complex. Decent attempt but I'd say it's off the mark.

Tap at Falling Rock - an interesting combo here - creamy mouthfeel, with very subtle malt character, lemon, herbal tea - light wildflower honey from the mead - moderate phenols - a bit sweet, but it is mead - spicy finish tempers the sweetness - would like to see the beer higher in the mix, but pretty good.

Generous sample pushed on me at EBF after a long list of crap experiments. Actually the unfiltered nano midget ipa right before this was okay. :) Got a New Beer growler pity pour from a mutual fan after complaining that none was reserved for moi. Sea foam & haze. Dusty wheat color. Not too pretty, but interesting nonetheless. Zesty, coriander & powdered sugar scent. Almost something like a mix of faded potpourri & bread pudding, but cleaner. Edging more towards subtle though. Briney, white ale spices & a touch of powdery sweet honey. Albino Python came out quite distinctly. Redstone meads by themselves are pretty unimpressive, but adding just a bit of thin honey to the dusty wheat texture & spices of the already unique white lager was enough. Bit of yeast, bit of rind. Solid carbonation. Thin. An excellent braggot that I’ll probably have to blend more of myself at home since no one has any to sell me. :/

Bottled - first I missed it because of the ash cloud over Europe, but then I found it in London. A brown beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of alcohol as well as sweet and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of soy sauce, malt, roasted malt, hops, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

/11/1/11/12/11

On tap. Pours with a clear copper-gold hued body with a small off-white head. Aromas are fruity, malty, dates, pomegranate, estery, dark fruits. Quite a complex smelling malt bill. Minimal hop character. Flavors of honey, lightly tart finish, bready and toasty. Rich malt profile (nearly melanoidins). Estery, fruit, pomegranate in the finish. Raisins. Lively bubbles and a creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is decently well hidden. Actually this was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Pours clear mahogany into a Sam glass. Off-white micro head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet caramel and nutbread aromas. Dry with sweet nutty caramel and pumpernickel from front to back. Dry, medium length cocoa finish.

On tap at City Beer. Pours with a hazy golden-yellow body with a creamy white head that lasts for a while and leaves good lace behind. Aromas of honey, red apple, lightly herbal, spicy/grassy hops, chamomile tea, and a large fruity note. Flavors are very spicy, tea, persimmon, a bit metallic, some herbs, a touch of acid. A strange braggot blend. Lively bubbles, dry with notes of tea and ginger in the finish.

RBSG 2010 - Pours very dark amber and smells of rich malts and dark fruit. The flavor is predominately malt. It’s sweet with good dark fruit notes and some alcohol present, which is hard not to have at 13% abv. It’s a full bodied brew that I enjoyed very much.
