22 oz. bottle. Dark brown with amber hues and a big, tan head and thick lacing. Notes of chocolate malt, cinnamon, black bread, and hay. This is a sweet and malty beer, with a very mildly bitter finish. Light to medium body, with a powdery and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer, with a very forward cinnamon aspect in both the aroma and the feel. Interesting, and complex, but the palate is a little too much like eating cinnamon, which makes this a little difficult to drink.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 11/25/12

Aroma: The nose is roasted malts, bread, nuts, and some chocolate notes as well
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a slight red hue, and a small beige head
Flavor: The taste is fairly malty as well, a little bit sweet, fairly roasty, and a with a light bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it feels a little creamy, with a soft carbonation, and a mildly dry finish
Overall Impression: This one is one of those "What the hell, I've never rated this?" beers for me. I know I have had this one plenty of times, but some how it has escaped rating until now. Anyway, this one is fine, it hits the marks for drinkability, but it really is nothing special.

Bottle on Amtrak Train 506 between Portland and Seattle (from Binny’s South Loop) 08/11/12. Clear mid amber with a mahoooosive frothy off white head that retains well. Good lacing ensues. Nose is big on caramel malts, pine, hops, mango, caramelised sugars. Tastes of pine, hops, bitter mango, light mineral tones, oranges, sweet caramel. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter sweet finish. Good IPA and this one achieved my target of a new US rate for every hour I intended to spend in the US ! 151.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of Kermis. Poured almost black with a thin tan head. The aroma is rich ripe raisins and generally fruity. The flavour is sweet rich fruity Christmas pudding spicy and the alcohol give it some sharpness on the palate. A really awesome beer!

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of byaeger. Pours a very dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy, light brown head. Sweet vanilla oak aroma with a slightly roasty edge combined with burned caramel. Rich body, a little roasty, again loads of burned caramel, vanilla and wood. Warming alcohol finish combined with some perfumy hops. Delicious. 221112
