Can from The Star & Garter, Bromley. Black pour with a tan head. Nose is chocolate caramel, maple, creamy coffee, light smoke. Taste is maple, smoke, chocolate caramel, cappuccino, touch of cocoa. Soothing alcohol burn. Exceedingly rich warming finish. Excellent.

Can from The Star & Garter, Bromley. Black pour with a tan head. Nutty strawberry jam aromas, whack of smoke. Dark chocolate strawberry flavours, more nuts, light smoky linger. Rich malty sweet booze laden finish. Certainly different.

330ml can - 2023 rebrew done by Dugges this time. Pours pitch black with a brown head dissipating quickly. Aroma of maple syrup, dark chocolate, roast malts, coffee, subtle smoke. Taste is very rich, sweet, plenty of maple, dark chocolate, bitter coffee and roast malts, subtle smoke, bitter dark chocolate lingers. Full bodied. I think Dugges have done an excellent job with this one.

Can from HOTM. Black colour with a lasting tan head. Aroma and taste are bitter sweet roasted chocolate. Sweet jam and light nutty. Fairly subtle. Rich warming and smooth body. Not overly boozy.
