Can. Opaque dark brown black beer, slightly oily looking, decent pale tan head if somewhat short lived. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Rich soft dark chocolate malts with a good biscuit flavour and a mild coconut. Bourbon lined soft chocolate ganache with a fair side serving of caramel. Smooth viscous finish brings a little alcohol spice. Rich and tasty and drinkalble but lacks that tiny bit of fairy dust that would want to make me neck it despite it's hefty nature.

Can at home, from an online whom I can't recall, 24/03/24. Pitch black with a khaki cap that thins to a spiders web swirl. Nose is coffee grinds, charr, maple syrup, mellow roast, cacao nibs, molasses, nip of alcohol. Taste comprises roast malts, ashen nip, coffee grinds, charr, dried fruits, dark chocolate shavings, light spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Tidy impy stout ... good bitter coffee and roast presence ... never runs sweet.

Black beer, thin tan head. Smell has the blueberries, vanilla, a little lactose. Flavour has a good whack of dank blueberry, slightly bitter cocoa, vanilla, malt, a bit of lactose. Maybe a bit too much lactose, but it doesn't kill it, there's enough balance of the other flavours to keep it in check. Rich, warming and a little boozy in the finish. Very nice.

Bortimot svart med brunt skum. Lukter mest av sjokolade og kokos. Fyldig. Kokos også fremtredende i smaken. Sjokolade mer i bakrunnen. Søt.

Can, at Patricks. A dark brown to black beer with a minimalistic beige head. The aroma has loads of cocoa, and even more cocoa, with roasted, burnt notes borderline burnt down bonfire. Alcohol and some licorice. It's sweet and silky, warming, with a super smooth carbonation. Sweet flavor with lots of cocoa, roasted malts, some chocolate and a touch of licorice. Ashtray hints. Everlasting finish. Wonderful aroma, else too much on the sweet side. 240308
