Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a honey amber color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was bitter and dryish with pepper, yeast and cactus. The flavor was bitter and tangy with notes of white wine, yeast and was dryish and a bit off. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Meh

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a bright golden color with an enormous foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and piney with notes of cactus and pepper. The flavor was very sweet with yeast, cactus and pepper. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Pretty good for a hop type I don’t like.

Tap industry public. Cloudy pale. Friendly mild nose. First taste is slight inner tube. Has a little bit of that green grapefruit bitter rind thing in there as well. Yes, rubbery is the word. Becomes a little difficult near the end. Typical IPA, with a long bitter finish, whew.

This clear pale IPA does not really come across like an IPA and that is OK with me. Starts off rather fruity then tries to be an IPA. Yes, first its fresh and then during the session it gets a little more bitter. Not really sure if this rises to the level of an IPA or if its just an APA with personality. either way I don’t like IPA and I found this quite acceptable. Thank you ithaca for this hearty APA.

Rare beer at industry public house, thank you. Big & black. Gentle stout aroma. Flat for the most part, needs more co2. JMHO. Some bitter burnt wood in there. A tad medical overall. Yes, bitter alky is present. Fer sure. Probably a little too medicinal for its own good.

Super hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of oranges, curacao, light malt, earth and a very sweet and pungent hop kick. Medium-bodied; Assertive fresh grapefruity and orangey hop kick, some light malt notes, hints of alcohol and some very nice floral elements show well with a nice grassy and fragrant finish, full of character. Aftertaste shows a good orange and grapefruit sweetness, a big dose of alcohol and bitterness and a smooth malty backbone. Overall, a very nice citrusey and sweet Imperial IPA with a great body and smooth complexity, yet a relatively easy-to-drink beer throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 26-November-2016 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-December-2016.

Poured into a lager glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger sustaining off white to tan foamy head that as it dissipated some subtle rings of lace evenly stuck around the sides of the glass. Spider webbed very nicely!
The aroma started off with a superb blend of the roasty dark and milk chocolate malts flowing extremely nicely over the German lager yeast pulling out some graininess.
The flavor copies the aroma pretty much right on par and adds a dry little sweetness from the dark chocolate. German lager yeast seems to fade a bit, but the graininess comes back pulling the roasty quality nice and on into the middle of the beer. Roasty edged and grainy aftertaste somewhat evenly flowing into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a fair sessionability about it. Some carbonation feels there with a touch of the grain hitting in a prickly sort of fashion.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good schwarzbier that Ithaca pulled off. Way to go, guys!
