Description
Fat Head's was founded in 1992 as a premiere craft beer tap house and restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2009 we expanded to Ohio and teamed up with our award-winning Head Brewmaster Matt Cole. With the explosion in popularity came the necessity to open a full-scale production brewery in 2012. Fat Head's Brewery produces original ales and lagers for distribution throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Our Tap House offers Samples, Flights, and Fresh-brewed Pints! Sit right in the heart of our facility and enjoy the freshest beer from our tanks to your pint glass. We have a 16 tap draft system, bar seating, picnic tables, and some seriously tasty grub to go with it.

Dark gold with a small white head that left decent lacing. Tangy, sweet and fruity with a band aid note at the end. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a half finger of white foam - some lacing and clinging to side of glass. Aromas are fairly lemony at first, but mellow out a bit to a more subdued fruit medley in short order. Not sure I will be patient enough to wait to see if it changes profile as it warms. Flavors are mildly fruity, but kind of in a nondescript way... maybe a bit of pear and white grape with a lightly resinous backside. Balance is good but this one is on the hops-forward side of the spectrum. There is just enough malt there to keep it from sliding into the hop tea category but it could be a bit more chewy for my tastes (and that is something I almost never say!)

Fantastic. Really good old school American IPA beer. Paired with Mel Gibson in Payback (1999).

Draught @ Beer Shop, Oak Park (Jan 2024). Lightly murky brown with copper highlights, creamy beige head, toasted bread aroma with coffee, low carbonation, medium bitter mocha taste with faint tartness, smooth thin body, long toasted bread-mocha finish. Very smooth and easy to drink.

My 700th Pennsylvania beer rating. 12 ounce can. Bright amber orange pour. Pillowy white head. Very distinctive lacing. Earthy malt meets piney hops in the aggressive aroma. First sip reveals the true character of this brew. It a hop bomb! Bold notes of dank citrus and pine emerge immediately. Grapefruit, lime, honey, bitter orange and pine sap. It’s smooth and out there. Go get it!

12 ounce can. Cloudy orange gold pour. Large, frothy white head. Nice clinging lace. Dank citrus hop aroma. Flavor upfront is sweet orange, grapefruit, lemon and pineapple. Middle leans toward stone fruit and mango. Finishes with grassy, herbal hops. Tasty.
