Losing my faith in Duck Rabbit beer. When I first tried their stuff a few years ago, it was pretty good but the last several that I've had we're not so much. Here the Aromas are wet paper and oxidized hops with a little caramel malt. Flavors are like Nose, oxidized Citrus hops, caramel malt and Oak. I will be able to get through this one but that's it.

2 week old pint can A: Poured gently to a small quickly falling head atop a clear brassy gold body with fine active bubbles. S: Doughy musty bread, faint herbs, hay or grass. T: Peppery herbal hops with fairly low bitterness. Biscuit and grape underneath. M: Light medium body with average carbonation and a slightly vinous finish. O: Nothing to dislike, but pretty average overall and not quite Svetly-esque.

Taste is quite superior to the aroma. Superbly balanced and very convincing indeed.

Rocky light brown head stayed on a rich mahogany coloured body. Demerara, malt, roasted & liquorice aroma. Medium bodied, creamy over the tongue & a tickle on the back with a clean aft. Bitter, roasted, tar, fruity, sugar & raisin tastes with a tangy pithy citrus finish.

Bottle from Dickinsonbeer, thanks! Almost black and opague. Molasses, dried tropical fruit and ash in the aroma. Full bodied. Molasses, ash, coffee and tropical fruit in the somewhat tart flavor. Ash and laurel in the finish. Licorice. Good beer.

Pour is a dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is some minty hop and a sweet caramel malt. Flavor is again minty with some cypress type wood with a tartness on the back end. I did know know what this wanted to be. A IPA? Barrel aged beer? or Kettle Sour? It was not a hop bomb and the wood did not make a huge appearance. Just barley o.k.
