Description

After the bankruptcy of Brouwerij Durs in June 2024, it seemed for a while as if Arnhem had to say goodbye to its beloved specialty beers. But luckily, salvation came: Durs was successfully taken over by Pieter Lok, an experienced entrepreneur who is determined to breathe new life into the brand. Together with his brother Jaap from Brouwerij De Snor, he brings not only passion, but also craftsmanship and extensive experience in brewing specialty beers to the future of Durs.

Bottle, 10.5%. Brown sugar aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small head. The flavour is quite sweet. Brown sugar and white sugar notes. Acidic finish. Molasses. A very sweet beer, and to sweet for my liking.

50cl Fles. Goudgele kleur, witte kraag.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orange golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Slightly perfumed, spicy aroma, wheaty malty background, notes of coriander, a touch of banana. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty malty, slightly citrusy fruity, slightly spicy, hints of coriander, banana, some lemon and orange peel. Creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, creamy, foamy carbonation. Slightly coriander dominated, well balanced overall - nice.
