Can from Seijo Ishii. Aroma is a bit weird. Kind of watery, but with some hoppiness in there. Taste is slightly hoppy, bit of pine, caramel maltiness, watery feeling again. Finish is bitter, but not in a particularly nice way. Bit astringent. The body really lets it down. Oh, and the lack of flavour. Apart from that it's just great. I'll stick with Captain Crow!

Can from a local supermarket. Very clear light blond colour with white bubbly frothy head. Aroma is very grainy, bit of creaminess, soft and sweet. Taste is fine, malty, bit of bitterness. Nothing jumps out, but it is perfectly decent for what it is. Quite fizzy as you might expect, but not bad. Fairly crisp.

Can at home bought from tokyu food show. Very pale blonde colour, very translucent, small white head that fades quickly. Aroma is cereal, bit of cream, little hint of spice. Taste is pretty easy going, touch of lemon, hint of banana, bit of wheat and cream, everything you might expect but not so prominent. Very easy to drink and perfectly pleasant but not much more than that.

Dark copper colour, small off white head. Aroma is twiggy, resin hops, bit of plastic. Taste is ok, but not much there. Bit of spiky maltiness, slight spiciness. Not much hop. Bit of a prickle. Not that exciting. Slight cherry and citrus fruitiness.

Brown with creamy golden head. Aroma is roasty, bit of stink, bit of spice, maybe leathery and bit of smoke. Taste more straightforward, choc-creamy, roasty malt, something weird too. Maybe bit of hoppy bitterness there too. Not bad, but probably won't drink again.

Crisp and slightly hazy golden coloured body with a straw golden glow and a touch of white head, barely a centimetre tall on top. Aroma of honey, wheat, grass, hay, light coriander seed, a dash of bananas and some yeast at the tail end. Light-bodied; Extremely fresh and very subdued wheat flavour at first with a touch of coriander seed, a light dose of honey and caster sugar and very little else - perhaps a bit of curacao, but that might be pushing it. Aftertaste is clean and subdued, while being very easy to drink and incredibly wheatie, showing the caster sugar, light yeast, a dose of coriander seed and a touch of very mild nutmeg. Overall, a relatively uninspired beer, while remaining very easy-to-drink and crisp, this is not a bad wheat beer that borders on being a belgian white in terms of flavour, this is simply too mild and wheatie to have any of the real yeast strain flavours of the Belgian varietal. I sampled this 350 mL can purchased from World Liqour Mart in Daimon, Tokyo, Japan on 04-August-2019 for 268JPY sampled in my hotel room here in Tokyo, Japan a day later on 05-August-2019.

Crisp golden coloured body with a thinnish white head that only shows up at about an inch in height. Aroma of hay, grass, light citrus, an astringent malt and yeast characteristic, some light bread and a dose of grapefruit and lager biscuity grainy qualities that are a bit strong. Light-bodied; Strong dose of pale malt, lager yeast, bread, light grain and a dose of very bitter grapefruit and kumquat that shows much more of a lager than an ale, and the malt hits like a biscuit instead of anything pungent - this is dry throughout and not showing much character or depth at all - another sign of a lager. Aftertaste shows the dry and biting characteristics without any sweetness, depth or complexity - pretty boring and very dry throughout without much hop bitterness at all. Overall, a decent, at best, beer that tastes more like an [india pale] lager than an IPA and shows too much biscuity and dryness and not enough complexity and deep flavours, especially on the malt perspective. I sampled this 350 mL can, purchased a few minutes ago from World Liqour Mart in Daimon, Tokyo, Japan on 04-August-2019 for JPY288 sampled in my hotel room here in Tokyo, Japan on 04-August-2019.

Usually their beers are enjoyable, but this one is a bit strange. I guess sometimes their brews are strange...hence the name? Or something.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear golden hue with a medium white head. A light fruity caramel nose. Sort of metallic, bitter, some berries, soft caramel. OK.

350ml can pours out a orange topped with a white head. Nose is big bread malts citrus grassy and tropical hops. Taste is more of the nice grain forward malts and a fun mix of hops.
